As the season of Autumn brings colours of gold to Tasmanian we turn our thoughts to the nothofagus gunnii or deciduous beech trees growing in our mountain areas at places like Mt Field and Cradle Mountain. I will be speaking with Matthew Crawford on the Radio National program “In Season” on Saturday 9th of April at 9.30am, about our deciduous beech tree and my artwork that is inspired by and created to show the beauty of the “fagus”. You can listen to the program online via the Radio National “In Season” program page after it has gone to air. The In Season program for Autumn will focus on deciduous trees in Australia.

Nothofagus Gunnii Gold and more nothofagus gunnii prints and artworks are available and can be viewed at rosannebender.com and are available at listed local galleries. Nothofagus Gunnii Gold is a unique one of a kind mixed media artwork inspired by the deciduous beech trees in Mt Field National Park.

The deciduous beech tree in this artwork is growing at Mt Field National Park in Tasmania, the colours of the deciduous beech yellow, gold, orange and red usually peak to perfection around the 3rd week in April. Take walk on the Tarn Shelf in Mt Field National park and experience the colours of the fagus.
